Lisa Tacoronte

Senior Business Design Lead

Lisa is a Senior Design Lead at IDEO.org, co-designing and prototyping creative entrepreneurial models and systemic interventions based on human needs. She brings experience and background in business and entrepreneurial strategy, human-centered and co-creative design research, systems thinking, futuring, and international development to imagine how innovative business models can inspire equitable social change. Her work ranges from adapting business models for an education startup with refugee contexts to designing a service to help young people improve access to sexual and reproductive healthcare in the US. She is passionate about designing with communities to explore new viable solutions with system-level impact.

Before joining IDEO.org, Lisa was a Design Director at IDEO. Prior to IDEO, she was a consultant at Bain and Company, and then at Endeavor’s Miami Affiliate, where she provided strategic advice and analytical support to local entrepreneurs. Lisa has an MBA from MIT Sloan and studied Mechanical Engineering and International Development at MIT. In her off time, she escapes to the world of sci-fi and fantasy as a Trekkie and gamer, enjoys creative woodworking, and tends to her plants and two mischievous cats.
