Comics for Reproductive Health

A teen-friendly visual narrative that humanizes and normalizes sexual and reproductive health topics

PositiveNegatives uses comics and animations to bring awareness and education to audiences around the globe. Through Amplify, PositiveNegatives will work with 10–14 year old girls in emergency settings to create a visual storytelling tool addressing sexual and reproductive health. PositiveNegatives’ compelling content will encourage audiences to identify with a character and narrative, both humanizing and normalizing sexual and reproductive health topics. Ultimately, this will reduce the sense of isolation, shame and fear felt by young women and create a community wide shift in perception. This visual storytelling tool will be used directly by partner organizations or through signposting to encourage 10 ‑14 girls living in Zaatari Refugee Camp to access sexual and reproductive health information and services.
