BRAC is an international nonprofit dedicated to tackling the challenges of poverty, illiteracy, disease, and social injustice. BRAC’s Urban Development Program focuses on improving the wellbeing of the urban poor by ensuring basic services, promoting pro-poor urban governance, and fostering innovation. By promoting behavioral change regarding fire safety, taking precautions in an innovative way, and transferring technical knowledge of fire fighting materials, BRAC aims to help urban slum communities and to protect their homes and save lives.
