Michelle Kreger

Managing Director, Partnerships

As a Managing Director at IDEO.org, Michelle leads the team's US portfolio, which includes design and innovation work at the intersection of health equity, economic mobility and early learning and care. She has worked in the social sector for 15+ years leading innovative, high growth organizations dedicated to meaningful and lasting social change. 

At IDEO.org, her work involves collaborating with designers, partners, and end users to co-create programs, products, and services that meaningfully improve people's lives. She's worked in Santa Clara to design youth mental health spaces for teens, in Dallas to improve the experience of accessing housing and food benefits, and across the US on reimagining healthcare. Prior to her current role, Michelle worked in over 50 countries focused on global health and economic justice.

Michelle formerly led Kiva's global portfolio and was responsible for Kiva's expansion to multiple countries in Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East. She also led Kiva Labs, an innovation team within the organization that pioneered crowd-funded lending to social enterprises across the globe.

Michelle graduated magna cum laude from Boston University with a degree in International Relations and a minor in Economics.
