Nakhanu is a Communications Designer based in Nairobi. She brings design excellence to a wide range of projects through beautiful and impactful design, branding, and storytelling. She supports her teams and partner organizations to develop creative visual solutions that capture the attention of diverse audiences.

Before joining IDEO.org, Nakhanu supported Mideva Labs in designing programs that provide young people with the environment, mindset, and tools they need to begin and develop their careers. She has also volunteered at Don Bosco Rango Technical and Vocational Training School in Huye, Rwanda where she taught computer skills to both children and adults.

Nakhanu is an alumna of Nairobi Design Institute, where she completed a multidisciplinary design program that focused on creating impactful experiences that address social gaps in Africa. She enjoys playing tennis, spending time with family, and discovering new ways to be visually inspired — like traveling to new places.
