Rob Gradoville

Senior Portfolio Manager

As a Senior Portfolio Manager for’s Amplify program, Rob ensures the growing number of Amplify challenge winners around the world receive the right funding and design support as they pilot new solutions to age-old social challenges like urban safety, education, and health care.

Prior to joining, Rob was Global Technical Advisor for, establishing and managing partnerships for clean water and sanitation financing around the world. He also spent time as a Fulbright Fellow in Peru, a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Dominican Republic, and a reverse-engineer in his home state of Connecticut. He likes to build things, take them apart, and then rebuild them.

Rob holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bucknell University, a master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, and post-graduate credentials in environmental management and microfinance. He also served on the board of the Nicaraguan nonprofit organization Water for Waslala from 2012 until its acquisition by WaterAid in 2016. Previously a college decathlete, he now runs only to fuel his pizza-eating obsession and has no doubt that Sally's New Haven pizza is the best pie in the world.
