At IDEO.org, Noel works as an Industrial Designer, specializing in physical solutions for systemic problems. When a physical solution just won’t do, he is just as comfortable diving deep into service and systems design.
Before IDEO.org, Noel worked at Austrian design firm Kiska, on everything from motorcycle parts to sportswear to the fountain pen all the German kinder use in grade school. In a past life, he studied and worked for four years as a concept artist, designing for film and games. The shift came at an internship at NASA, where he saw how problem solving for real world challenges could create real opportunity.
Noel has backpacked, studied abroad and worked in 28 countries, but he’s just getting started. He holds a BS in Product Design, with a Minor in Social Innovation from Art Center College of Design, in Pasadena, California. You can see more of Noel's work here.
