Michael Zhong

Software Developer

As a Software Developer at IDEO.org, Michael helps create digital tools to improve the lives of low-income people. He is passionate about using technology and design to drive social good.

Prior to joining IDEO.org, Michael worked as a developer at The New York Times and Microsoft doing a mix of JavaScript and data analysis work. He is a graduate of Columbia University, where he studied Computer Science and Economics and was active in the journalism scene.

Michael's ideal day outside of IDEO.org involves a mix of making web things, reading in a cafe in Portugal, and promoting the numerous benefits of Panera Bread, including but not limited to its antibiotic-free chicken.
