Matthew Epler

Technology Design Lead

As a Design Lead, Matthew brings our design work to life through tangible digital solutions, including web applications, data visualization, and physical interactive experiences. In other words, he is a designer who can code and a coder who can work with his hands.

Before joining, Matthew designed and fabricated interactive experiences for brands like Levi’s, Converse, and Louis Vuitton. He also led the development of data-driven web applications for the NYC-based startup Human Condition Safety, specializing in applications focused on worker safety on construction sites.

In a former life, Matthew taught film history in Brazil and Jordan after a brief and painful stint in the film biz in Los Angeles. He is also an artist, whose work has been featured in the Milan Triennale Museum of Design, mudac Lausanne, and on Wired, The Huffington Post, Newsweek, Reuters, Vice, and others. A California native, he misses the Pacific Ocean, but not enough to trade the subway for commute traffic.
