As a design lead in the Nairobi studio, Linda focuses on leveraging the power of co-creation and prototyping alongside communities to better understand systemic inequality and injustice. She is passionate about how people learn and how technology can adequately represent and empower them, no matter who they are or where they are from.
Before joining IDEO.org, Linda led the product team at Eneza Education, a USSD learning platform with over three million users in Kenya. Prior to that, she was a learning experience designer at the African Leadership University, a chain of tertiary education institutions which aims to develop the next generation of African leaders. At ALU, Linda was responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the learning model and designing interventions to improve it. She also designed and taught courses on data analysis and African studies. Before ALU, Linda worked for Google where she focused on connecting more of Africa to the internet.
Linda loves imagining futures for Africa through science-fiction and speculative design. She is a big fan of the ocean, acrylic paint, and analog games.
