Cady helps IDEO.org's Health XO team translate between 'design speak' and 'public health speak.' She helps the Health practice's partner organizations and design teams foster the conditions for great design solutions to emerge.
Prior to joining IDEO.org Cady was a Global Health Intern at KHANA, the largest HIV/AIDS NGO in Cambodia, where she revised KHANA's Monitoring and Evaluation guidelines, conducted extensive qualitative research with youth who self-identify as 'entertainment workers,' and consulted on HIV/AIDS intervention innovations with PSI and FHI360. Previous to her work in Cambodia Cady was an HIV Peer Test Counselor, a clinical volunteer in San Francisco General Hospital's Level 1 Trauma Center, and spent nearly a decade in the bean-to-bar craft chocolate industry.
Cady holds a BA in Psychology with Honors, from the University of California, Santa Cruz, an MPH in Global Health from Touro University, California, and is nationally Certified in Public Health through the NBPHE. In her spare time Cady designs jewelry, repairs vintage polaroid cameras, and eats tacos.
